About the Project

A mosaic of lived experience, mapped across the state.

Sun Bucks is a straightforward support: grocery assistance for children who rely on free and reduced-price school meals during the year. Hunger doesn’t stop during the summer and neither should food supports for South Carolina’s children. During the summer months families absorb the cost of schools meals – stretching budgets, skipping meals, and making tradeoffs they shouldn’t have to make.

The project turns an abstract policy option into a visible statewide record. Not a single story, but a mosaic – mapped, heard and remembered
